Our Story

Harry’s Ice Cream Co is a premium ice cream range from the Harry & Larry’s Company, an Australian owned business, dedicated to creating indulgent, locally produced, quality products using Australian dairy.

Harry & Larry’s created our first batch of delicious artisan ice cream in 1994 and over that time we’ve developed different flavours according to what you, our customers, told us you wanted, including a special Australian release with varieties such as Lamington and Pavlova. Right now, you’re telling us your favourite flavours are Salted Caramel Fudge, Triple Choc Brownie, Peanut Butter Fudge and Peppermint Brownie – so that’s what we’ll keep making for you.

When we first started making ice cream, everything was done in small batches, five litres at a time (no more than a total of 20 litres in an hour – not much at all!) at the back of our first store in Brunswick. We mixed everything ourselves, starting with fresh cream and ending with the addition of generous chunks of chocolate for our New York Choc Chip. Our ice cream became a big hit and in Summer it sold as fast as we could make it.

Luckily, we now have fancy machines and more staff so we can keep up with the demand. Don’t worry, we’re still dedicated to creating indulgent quality ice cream with unique flavours. It’s made right here in Australia so you can support local workers and still buy a premium product.

In 2012, we launched the Harry’s Ice Cream Co product range and have been providing deliciously authentic ice cream, now in our special clear tubs, ever since.
